- How are the ArtWax candles made?
ArtWax candles are individually hand-formed. They are formed by hand
while the wax is still warm and moldable.

What makes the
ArtWax candles so unique?
First of all, our ArtWax Pear and Apple
candles are REALLY
handmade from start to finish. People often ask us at the shows if they are made
in a mold. They are not. One candle maker works on a chunk of warm wax and HAND
SCULPTS
these candles one at a time. If you look closely, you may even find a
fingerprint or two! Therefore, slight differences in size, shape and color are
inherent in this candle. That's what makes it unique. That's what makes it ArtWax!

- How do I get the best burn results?
Each candle comes with its own set of burning instructions. The rule of
thumb for burning pillar-type candles is to let them burn for 1 hour for every
inch of the candle's diameter. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4". Let the wax
pool out completely to the rim before extinguishing the flame. You may reshape
the soft, outer edge or let it cool as is. Make sure the candle is on a
non-flammable surface away from drafts, pets and children. And don't forget,
never leave a burning candle unattended! Thanks.

How come many web sites
advertise wholesale to the public and
they do not ask for a retail ID?
Here is the scoop on wholesale: True
wholesale is only available to
registered businesses with a retail tax
ID. Many web sites say they sell at
wholesale but in fact they do not. At best they sell at a
discount, if even that. The word "wholesale"
often gets miss used.
From Wikipedia, the free
encyclopedia about "Wholesale":
Wholesaling consists of the sale of
goods/merchandise to
retailers, to industrial, commercial,
institutional, or other professional
business users or to other wholesalers
and related subordinated services.
According to the United Nations Statistics
Division Wholesale is the resale (sale
without transformation) of new and used goods to
retailers, to industrial, commercial,
institutional or professional users, or to other
wholesalers, or involves acting as an agent or
broker in buying merchandise for, or selling
merchandise, to such persons or companies.
Wholesalers frequently physically assemble, sort
and grade goods in large lots, break bulk,
repack and redistribute in smaller lots, for
example pharmaceuticals; store, refrigerate,
deliver and install goods, engage in sales
promotion for their customers and label design."
(UNSTATS - United Nations Statistics Division).
